The heat and the humidity. I'll translate that to all of you who may have poker straight hairs. Mine is not. Mine never is, but the humidity makes it grow. And grow. And grow. It makes me even happier that I went to see Tara, the Goddess of Shearing Big Hair, last week. It is only with her intervention that I'm no longer looking like Bozo the Clown.
The heat? Yes, I know that if you are in the southwest, it's 100+, but I'm thinking that is dry heat. I know that in the east, the humidity is worse so, y'all clearly win. Still, when I'm considering whether or not to soil clean laundry on the line with wiping the sweat from my brow, you know that it is stinking hot up here.
My nasturtium have come up, though. That's good news.
I have my sheets in the wash. I'm sure that it will probably take me longer to hang them on the line than it will to actually dry them. That's not so bad. I sleep delightfully well on newly line-dried sheets. They have a stiffness about them and a sniff of ozone just for fun. Zzzz.
Ah, yes. My post title neglected my trip to the allergist tomorrow. I will be going through another round of bee allergy testing. Frankly, I'm hoping that they will run the environmentals the rest of the way. I sort of ran out of testable arm space the last time. I don't know if I have to redo the RAST or not. I'll be taking K- with me. I figure that it won't hurt her and it certainly isn't something bad for her to see. She'll probably find it rather interesting. No matter how it comes out, Dr. A- wants me to tote an Epi Pen for the rest of forever. It's easy enough. No problem there.
The asters are starting to bloom! The purple nicotiana I grew from seed are now blooming! The bee balm is incredible! Sadly, I'm not sharing these things with you yet because my computer, the dinosaur it is, is struggling to keep up. She needs a good, deep cleansing. I need her to be all Zen like (maybe, but it sounds good) so that she may function properly. This computer is the giant beast that a thief would leave behind because it is so ancient. Still, we must breathe new life into her. More on a CPR level. Once she's been fully resuscitated, I'll get back with the photos. Trust me, I took them.
I told you it was an ADD post.
I need to go clean my bathroom now.
I've at least figured out that we'll be having either chicken salad or tuna salad for dinner. We have chips and fruit. Voila. It's library night. K- and I will be off for entertainment as Hubs comes home and collapses from heat exhaustion. (He had one day camp participant faint yesterday from the heat.)
I have things to tend to and since the palace does not self maintain, I must get off of my scatteredness of just sitting and do.
Have a great day!

Good luck with the allergy testing!
And when you're done with that, can you come over and clean my bathrooms too??
:)
Big humidity hairs? Yup. Heat and humidity? Yup.
We're finally having a break in the weather today, but it's still miserable. :oS
