Twang

We're in middle America.  We're in the northern half of the state.  I don't understand why every store in town has taken to playing country music.  Here's something for all of you to know:

NOT EVERYONE IN OHIO LISTENS TO COUNTRY MUSIC.

Sorry, but it is absolutely dreadful stuff.  I was in the bread store and they were blaring it.  I was in Giant Eagle to pick up a prescription and it was playing.  You are put on hold.  What music is it?  Oh, let me think . . . COUNTRY.  I have to say it is no more wholesome than anything that I listen to.  I'm not suggesting that the music that I listen to be put on regular rotation on Muzak or anything.  I don't know that Cake, Ben Folds or the Cure are bands that are a complete cover for all.  However, there has to be something better than whiny, twangy country music.

YUCK!

Does store music drive you crazy?  I won't even be mad at you if you want all country all the time.  I just hope that the madness stops.

Smiles in my day:
-  K- is having a tough time with place values on tens and ones to 20.  She reported that though it isn't a perfect paper today, she missed 3 and "Not everything on the paper this time, Mom!"  We're working on it.  At least we made progress!
-  Hubs' work won Chipotle lunch for Thursday.  I've never had it and Hubs is bringing his home for me to have for dinner on Thursday night.  Yum, I think!

Have a great day!

Bottom to top:

We LOVE Chipotle here. :o)

Hooray for improvement, K! :o)

Country music? Try growing up in the mountains of southwest Virginia. O.M.Stars. It's all you hear. EVER. You either learn to tolerate it, or go mad.

Store music? Martin's often plays oldies which I do enjoy. Recently, they've been playing stuff from middle school years. Um, yeah, some of that stuff isn't that good...

Normally, I can tune it out. The blaring country in the bread store started it. My parents and brothers listen to country. They did much of the time growing up. I knew all the words, but hated the music.

I still don't like it.

Apparently, Hubs ordered me some chicken burritos from Chipotle. I'll have to give my report. I've heard that the calories can be out of this world, so I've always avoided them for fear of loving them.

The calories ARE out of this world. Check out this link. If you control your portions, eat only 1/2 (which is MORE than filling), it's not *too* bad.

I usually get the barbacoa burrito bowl with pintos, mild salsa, cheese, sour cream, guac, and lettuce. The calories are atrocious, and I could do better without the fatty items, but 1/2 a bowl is satisfying, so it works. :o)

Oh that's funny! I actually like country music but I like all music (except maybe rap... it's just not my thing). I NEVER hear it played anywhere here. I mostly hear pop music. The other day at Giant Eagle they were playing Ricky Martin and I didn't even notice I was dancing until it was too late. I'm surprised I didn't get banned from the store ;)

Chipotle is my friend. LOVE it. And now the Little Man will eat it too (and if I say I need it gf, they will keep it safe) even after his unfortunate upchuck incident in the dining room there. Hope you liked it!
