Blog Hop '09- A Target Gift Card Giveaway Treat!

Hey! Thanks for visiting! So, you want to know a few things about me? Well, I was a dork (and tired), jumped the gun a bit and posted my Blog Hop thingy early this morning. Oh, don't worry! I've linked it right here. (You don't have to read it to enter.) Truly, I'm an artist mommy and wife who earns a living by wiping a variety of kid parts, cookin', cleanin' and that whole bit, working at an art gallery for a little bit of pay for doing what I love, loving on and being loved on by my people, Hubs and K-, without whom I wouldn't know what to do with myself. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways! Take a spin through the archives one day. They will make you laugh, cry, scratch your head and wonder why! But, because y'all have been so nice to stop in at my little ole blog, I'd like to reward someone with a treat! I'll send a $10.00 Target gift card to one person just for commenting ON THIS POST, please. One entry per person. And yes, if I know you, it is fine to enter. United States only. Sorry! My only request is to tell me something more than "Enter me" or a canned generic response. I'll delete you for that. (Mean, but true.) Did you have a good day? When's the last that you cleaned your bathroom? Are you wrestling up some school supplies for kiddies to go back soon? Have you stubbed your toe recently? Do you camp? What things do you like to read? (Yes, package labels count!) What do you like to eat? Anything! Just tell me anything! (Not offensive, please.) I'd love to hear about you! Oh, and don't forget to give me your e-mail, please (or that your blog has it linked in somewhere.) It's hard to give y'all a prize if I can't actually contact you. Comments will close on July 29 at 9:00 PM. Winner to be chosen by random number generator. Now, go forth and comment! :)

Comments are officially closed. Thank you for stopping by!

Howdy! Nice to meet you!

Tell you something, hmm. Well, my kids are currently out of town at the grandparents house so it's been just me and the hubs for almost two weeks. Tonight we watched GHI & ate Milk Duds in bed. We are such exciting people!

I love to read, but am currently reading a book for a review that I CANNOT get into! It's not good at all.

What else would you like to know? ;-)

I am off to explore your blog. Have a great night!

Let's see . . . . . my kids have been at camp since Monday. I miss them but would like it if they could stay a couple of extra days :-)

Good strategy....I like it!

I'll miss him!

Well if I could actually remember when the last time it was I cleaned my toilet, I'd be ashamed to say...lol! Let's see, both my kids are here at home (wish I could send them to camp, or even my parents house..lol), and I'm busy as usual, not cleaning, cooking, or doing any of the normal things I should..lol!

So nice to meet another Christian momma--always! I never really was the artsy type...but I always loved writing...always. At 9 years old I could spell words most grown people couldn't. :-) Then again...some grown-ups aren't very intelligent lol...I hope you have a wonderful weekend and no, I haven't stubbed my toe recently and I love camping! (E-mail is tied to my blogger name)

Hi Amy!! Great to meet you! I am so thrilled to meet another Christian mama! I enjoyed learning a little about you. I am a working mama who would love to be a SAHM but the numbers just don't work so I've got the next best thing....the summers off. I am a special education paraprofessional! If I have to work, it is a very rewarding job. I'd love to have you pop over to my blog. Have a great nite!

I am a compulsive reader so I will read almost anything - I have read shampoo bottles because there wasn't anything else - but I won't read Lord of the Flies. I hated it.

Do I camp? I am considering the possibility of maybe trying it again. The last 2 experiences were awful so I don't know.

Oh and my email is christi(dot) s1996(at)yahoo.com

Hi! I'm Amy, too. I have a 4-year-old daughter and we're getting ready to go to preschool, so I was super excited to see the lunch accessories you just posted about. I never thought about sending cloth napkins.

Just hopping over from the Blog Hop!

Let's see something about me. Well I do love Target. My hubby tells me that I can't go in and not buy anything. I don't know what it is but I always end up with more than I went in for.

I found you through Big Mama's blog. I'll have to add you to my daily addiction of blogs I read! ha!

About the school supplies, my son doesn't start school for another 2 years, but I've been stock-piling supplies for years now. One reason I do this is because I teach younger kids at our church and I'm always needing some crayons and markers and pens/pencils. Also, at our church we do the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes and I love to fill those will school supplies.

Thanks for the chance at the gift card!!!

How in the WORLD did I miss this?!?!? I'm such a Tar-Jay fiend!! :o)

I'm ready to head over there today as a matter of fact, so I can pick up the requisite boxes of crayons, colored pencils and markers to fix up my classroom color caddies. :o)

What could I possibly tell you that you don't already know? The bathroom thing? :oP

I'm so totally skipping right over the "When's the last time you cleaned your bathroom?" question and moving on ...

My daughter went back to school last week (year round) and it's been a battle every.single.morning. She hates school (5th grade).

I love to read blogs -- much more than writing on my own most days :)

Another tidbit: I was crazy enough to post a "normal" picture of me on my blog hop post :) Nice to meet you!

Man this is how far behind I've fallen on blogging - I didn't realize there was a Blog Hop thingy going on LOL That week's vacation really put me behind on blogging and commenting!

Joe will be home next month for his 2 week R&R - YAY!

Me? I'm making brownies and shamelessly licking the bowl clean. Four batches worth to be exact because somebody {who shall remain nameless} hasn't checked her planner all week and didn't know that it was FRIDAY instead of Thursday!

I'm going to be a bridesmaid for the first time this weekend...a little nervous about that. :-)

Thanks for hosting!

Great prize. You have a nice blog. I love to read all kinds of books. I stubbed my big toe a couple of months ago and took all the skin of the bottom of the toe. It took a month to heal.

You have me at "Target." Well, let's see. I am having a good day. Thanks for asking. I think I cleaned my bathroom last Saturday. My kids aren't in school yet. I stubbed my toe on my babies bouncy seat last week so hard that it turned purple. I only camp in hotels. Motel six is roughing it. I like to read historical fiction. Gone with the Wind is my favorite book. And I like to eat just about anything, but especially chocolate and ice cream.

I'm an elementary teacher who loves summer break, but is ALMOST at the point where I won't mind going back to school too much. I do enjoy the time with my two kids though. Thanks for joining in the BlogHop! Party on!

Woot! I totally hit up Walmart and Staples in the past 2 weeks and we're just about set for school supplies! I just hate that half of the summer is gone. I think my kids go back on the 27th of August... I'm not even in school and that SUCKS!

Happy Blog Hop!

Nice to meet you! You ask so many loaded questions LOL. The last time I cleaned my bathroom was on Wednesday when my son overflowed our toilet. Big wads of toilet paper tend to do that. Life is never boring around here with 2 boys.

Nice to meet you. I needed a good laugh today as I have a crabby baby. My boys are at their grandparents for the weekend. Ahhhh the silence is golden. I have been on a baking frenzy today. Now I am just waiting for my little princess to finish eating as she is going to need a bath. Covered in ravioli. LOL Stopping by from the blog hop to say hello.

I am going to tell you how much I love my father. First, we aren’t blood related, I picked him, quite literally.

My father died when I was 4 years old, and I enjoy stories of him, and was probably scarred for life because of it. I saw him die, and that was an awful nightmare that still plays in my mind. It was awful, but that is about as much as I remember other than the games he played with my brother and I. And those are fleeting memories, I was so young. I do remember loving him though.

I met the father that raised me when I was 7. It was at a picnic. He wasn’t even at the same table as we were, but I quite literally dragged him over to meet my mother who I constantly worried about. Turned out that his wife died in 1973 as well, and he had children of almost the exact same age. I was a pain in the ass, I wanted him as my Dad, right from the moment I met him. At the urging of me, he asked my mother out. They had so much in common (which I don’t understand how I knew at that time) that they in fact fell in love. Times were rough for a while. My now sisters were very against it. They were angry that he took another love. They downsized my loss of a father saying that a loss of a mother is much worse. (its not)

My now father held my hand, he told me that they would someday understand. Then came Peter. Our brother. Brother to all of us. It changed everything. We were now a family.

My father has held me through the hard times, the worst times, and helped me in so many ways. I can’t tell you how much I love him, but I love the fact that I got to pick him.

Good morning, Amy!!! Thanks for the invite! This is actually my first time to your blogspot. Love it!! I am a SAHM with a little baking on the side. I just started making bread and cookies to sell at the Brimfield Farmers Market. It is fun and gets me out of the house for a few hours each week. The three little ones are well. Josh will start homeschool this fall. Yikes!! Where does the time go? We also line dry and love the fresh smell of the clothes! Have a great day/week serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Talk to you soon!!!

Posting my comment in hopes of winning - Target is where I always get sucked into buying more than I intended so it would be nice to have a gift card to defray that expense! Should be a nice day around here; hubby is working from home for the morning so may be able to keep the kids while I do a quick grocery shopping run.:-)
